HAWAIIAN LOMILOMI MASSAGE – 1 hour
Lomilomi is a gentle, graceful, rhythmic massage. The Hawaiians look at things in terms of energy flow – following the notion that an idea or belief can block energy flow as much as muscle tension can. Lomilomi helps release the blockages, while at the same time giving the energy new direction. It uses long continuous, flowing strokes, combined with a very loving touch, which relaxes the entire being, assisting in a letting go of old beliefs, patterns and behaviours that cause limitations which are stored in the cells of your body. Lomilomi is a unique physical experience which facilitates healing on the mental, emotional and spiritual levels. It’s a wonderful alternative to deep therapeutic massage.
FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY (TM) – LEVEL 1 – 1 hour
Fascial Stretch Therapy (TM) is a table-based, facilitated stretching system for the entire body. It is a complementary modality to all other training, workout systems and forms of bodywork. We use assisted stretching to work the fascia (connective tissue) of the body and optimize the range of movement available through the joint capsules working in sync with the breath and the body.
THAI YOGA MASSAGE – 1 hour
Thai Massage is an ancient form of body therapy dating back 2500 years. It gently stretches and opens the body by incorporating yoga, shiatsu and acupressure along with techniques of gentle rocking, pressing, kneading, stretching & compression. You will be placed in a series of yoga postures while receiving pressure point massage. It works primarily on your legs, back, neck & shoulders. Thai Massage encourages the body to heal itself by releasing muscle tension, increasing flexibility and circulation and stimulating the release of endorphins.
I teach a ‘heart-based’ system of Yoga based on the traditions of my teachers including (Cross-Disciplinary, Anusara, Kripalu & Sivananda). I live and teach a Tantric-based philosophy of the Intrinsic Goodness of Life.
I teach in a safe and non-competitive way, helping you through Awareness to realize the full potential of your physical body. We use postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama) and concentration/visualization (meditation) to bring you back into Alignment with your Physical, Emotional and Mental well-being.
YOGA ESSENTIALS 1:1
This work is done 1:1 or in very small groups.
An individualized session targets areas of pain, discomfort, injury or concern by linking movement to deep breath work and body awareness. A postural assessment is done and then you are led through basic yoga poses and/or practices including therapeutic essentials to re-align your body into its innate optimal blueprint. A personalized program is outlined – giving you a home practice to motivate your involvement as that is an integral part of your healing.
Reiki (pronounced ‘ray key’) is a gentle, non-invasive form of hands-on bodywork using energy. It was rediscovered in Japan in the early 1900’s.
Reiki means spiritually guided life force energy. It is believed that stress and disease manifest in the body when energy is blocked. Reiki unblocks energy thus balancing and healing the body. Treatment is restorative and renewing in body, mind, emotions and spirit.
